What is a list of fun things to do, if shopping is not included!

And Langebaan is no exception. It varies from colourful gift shops, shops where you can buy flowers and plants, a tiny shop with high quality and freshly packed meat, lots of coffee shops and even a small mall with all the necessary shops a tourist (and local) would want.

Here are just a few shops we visit frequently:

GIFT SHOPS

NURSERIES

Who don’t love gardening? There are quite a few nurseries in Langebaan and “Die Kyjirhys” (meaning a place where friends meet) is a new addition to Langebaan. While the plants are at the back of the shop, they have a small eatery in front (serves wonderful milk shakes and snacks) with a few shelves filled with gorgeous gifts.

FRESH FLOWERS

Another new addition to the shops in Langebaan, is Mystical Flower Market – a lovely shop that sells the most beautiful freshly cut flowers. Now, you have no excuse not to have a bunch of colourful flowers in your home!

MEAT EATERS

Although one can buy fresh meat in any of the big grocery stores, there is a place, called “Wild Butcher” that sells amazing cuts of any preferred meat. This is definitely worth a visit should you want to invite your friends over for a ‘braai’ (barbecue).

LAGUNA MALL

A mall is a mall you’ll say – which is true. Laguna Mall is not one of the biggest malls out there, but it provides a wide variety of shops for all your shopping needs. And the cherry on the cake – ample free parking!

COFFEE SHOPS

We love a good coffee shop ☕️ … and there are plenty of them in Langebaan! Here are just a few:

To end off … Take a drive towards Shark Bay and find “The Shark Bay Shack”. Here you can enjoy a coffee or cold drink and something to snack on while you have a splendid view over the Langebaan Lagoon … priceless!
